Walk Not Alone
Walk Not Alone, a participatory interactive performance, consists of poetry, VR video, sculpture, and interactive performance. Utilizing Google Cardboard, a standalone mobile VR platform, the work invites the viewers to take part in a walk while watching a VR video featuring a landscape. The work explores the concept of co-presence within a gallery space. The viewer walks simultaneously in two spaces: physical and virtual. With the sculpture integrated headset viewer experiences a layered reality, a composite of the physical gallery and the VR landscape. The co-present people also join the action as they may choose to walk alongside or guide the walker who cannot see the physical surroundings while experiencing the VR video.
